Introducing a Pet to a New Home and Traveling Posted on 12 May 10:58

Welcoming an animal into their new home is an exciting time for the whole family, people and pets alike.

Weather you have rescued an animal from a local shelter or a future show dog from the breeder, the new animal can get emotional support and calming comfort from some of our flower essences.

Getting the animal home is the first step.

It matters not if you are flying or driving, the TRAVEL formula will help prevent motion sickness. It also has flowers to ease fears that may be an emotional expression due to the new experience.

Young animals like puppies, kittens and frisky colts often have more energy than the new caretaker knows what to do with!

Our CALMING SOLUTION is wonderful for taking a bit of wind out of their sails without diminishing their joy of being in a loving household.

It is also useful for demanding attitudes like, pet me more, take me for another walk, throw the Frisbee again!

NEW HOME/GROUP LIVING not only helps the animal who has arrived at their new home but if also given to the animals in residence, it will shorten the time needed for the entire group to adjust. Often bringing a baby home for the first time can disturb the pets so that is another time to use NEW HOME/GROUP LIVING because the group dynamics are shifting.

Some folks use NEW HOME/GROUP LIVING when adding new fish into a tank or another animal into the herd.

When a family moves to a new location, everyone experiences changes. A perfect time to use TRAVEL and CALMING SOLUTION for the trip and NEW HOME/GROUP LIVING upon arrival.

Tara the Wolf Posted on 06 May 14:18

Welcome to Pet Essences and our first Blog post.

Animals are very responsive to flower essences and often we can observe changes right before our very eyes.  But more often it takes weeks or months to achieve the balanced state we want the animal to experience. Using flower essences 4 times throughout the day is ideal. Traditionally, 3 months of use is suggested.

LIFE FORCE ZEST is the correct choice when in doubt as to what the problem might be and therefore not know which one to use.  This is one of our oldest formulas and one that I keep in the car and in my pockets and purse. It is great for emergencies as is our EMERGENCY formula. We often see results rapidly when using LIFE FORCE ZEST or EMERGENCY.

For about 14 years we cared for our 80% Mexican Wolf, Tara.

Living in the mountains of Northern New Mexico, it was not surprising that one day Tara encountered a porcupine who left her snout and tongue full of quills.

We took her to our local veterinarian who used anesthetic to sedate her while he extracted the quills. He let us bring her home before she was awake and walking around.  We carried her inside and sat with her, expecting her to wake up any minute. By this time, several hours had passed and I suddenly realized that she was debating whether or not to regain a conscious state.

After giving her a dose of LIFE FORCE ZEST, it was within only a few minutes before she opened her eyes, picked up her head and rolled over so that she could use her legs to get up! It seemed to activate her will to live. Tara was so happy to greet her family of cat friends who like ourselves had been gathered around her.

This personal experience of seeing LIFE FORCE ZEST at work has made it my favorite formula and is why I carry it with me.

It really helps to perk up depressed spirits and can be used with all of our other formulas.
